A new chapter begins for Sea Digital
We're over the moon to be sharing the big news that Sasha has joined Felicity as a managing partner at Sea Digital.
Sea's original founder, Nev, left the business earlier this year as he decided to pursue a career as a developer (he actually now works in-house with one of our clients!) Nev's infectious energy was a hugely missed at Sea and Felicity decided she didn't want to go it alone. Sasha had been working at Sea for three years as Head of Social at this point and with her own big energy, the confidence of the team and years of experience under her belt, seemed like an obvious choice.
"When Nev & I were discussing his exiting from the business and exploring our options, I realised I didn’t want to run Sea by myself due to my young family and need for balance. Sasha’s energy, intelligence, and drive made partnering with her an obvious choice. Her love for Sea matches mine, she’s a natural leader, and our skills complement each other perfectly. I couldn’t ask for more." Says Felicity.
The idea of becoming a partner at Sea was a surprise for Sasha, who was on maternity leave at the time, but felt like the step forward she was looking for. "If I'm honest, I've always had an entrepreneurial itch that would've needed scratching one day, so it felt like a logical next step for me. I knew that alongside Flic, we could build on what her and Nev had created and take Sea to the next level. It's such a special team and I'm stoked I'll get to be a big part of the future of the company".
Nev is still on the scene as a shareholder and Sea's biggest supporter. "Felicity and Sasha are such superheroes, combining genius and heart in everything they do. They're the ones who make sure we stay awesome and never forget the importance of family. I can't wait to see all the cool things Sea is going to do with these two leading the way. I've had an amazing six years working on Sea, and now I'm stoked to be exploring the world of development technology".
